When songwriter and producer Damon Aaron debuted his strange yet alluring Ballast for Plug Research in 2005, he showcased his love of folk, DJ club, and soul dressed in glitchy electronics. It was lo-fi, yet succeeded. Aaron has been on the scene playing guitar, producing, and performing under a variety of guises; he’s also worked with hip-hop mystic Divine Styler and Los Angeles’ brilliant spiritual club jazz collective Build an Ark. On 2008’s Highlands, Aaron and his collaborators — including the wonderful violist and composer Miguel Atwood-Ferguson from Build an Ark — weave a romantic tapestry of sophisticated songwriting skill employing lithe, seductive, and heartfelt babymaker soul; sultry laid-back hip-hop beats; and old-fashioned synth effects with fingerpicked guitars, flutes, saxophones, and organic percussion. Check “Matinee” and “Fire” (which would make for a killer 45) that open the set. In each case, slippery beats, naturally heartfelt sultry vocals, achingly beautiful — and simple — lyrics, a well-placed flute solo, and delicate and ethereal synths and hand drums are accompanied by Aaron’s killer guitar playing that is equal parts Americana roots and Curtis Mayfield. The contrast between the tunes is gorgeous: the former is a midtempo ballad where a man remembers and pleads for the return of his lost love; the latter is a nocturnal, shimmering meld of skittering beats and electronics in service to Seduction. Atwood-Ferguson’s viola, played arco and plucked against the popping bassline and swirling keyboards, wraps the vocal in a cocoon of warmth and emotion. “Floating,” despite its spacy guitars and reverb-laden synths, is on the jazzy soul tip, with a crisp yet mellow hip-hop loop. “Clouds” is like Jeb Loy Nichols fronting an all-star combo from Massive Attack and the Dave Matthews Band popping through a soulful jazzy take on reggae. okay so i realize that I need an Ultimate Insect LV7 and Insect Queen and Paracite Paraside (something like that?) and if i get that I will need Insect Barrier (have it but currently do not use it)
okay well other than that, does anyone have any suggestions? I only lose to one of my friends, but then again i have witnessed him UNDEFEATED since they came out with Destiny Heroes and Horus monsters.

Have you ever heard of the insect monsters Blazewing Butterfly and Grasschopper? They are part of the gemini series. The plant monster Gigaplant is one also.

So if you haven’t that’s cool, I’ll tell you about them. Blazewing as a Gemini monster is a normal monster in the graveyard and on the field.
(Geminis are still effects in hand) You can summon it again, that is you can summon it one turn then use your next turn’s summon to summon it again. (My friends and I call it second-summoning). Anyway, then Blazewing becomes an effect monster and gains its effect which is: You can tribute this monster to special summon one Gemini monster from your graveyard to the field, except another Blazewing Butterfly. The monster special summoned in this way is treated as an effect monster.

Ok Grasschopper is also a gemini which means it comes out as a normal monster with no effect. If you summon it again, its effect becomes: This monster can attack each monster your opponent controls once per turn.

Gigaplant is plant type gemini monster. Its effect states: Once per turn you can special one plant or insect type monster from your hand or graveyard.

There is also another plant monster Lonefire Blossom that says: You can tribute a plant monster once per turn to special summon a plant monster from your deck.

First turn: Summon Lonefire. Sac it off to its own effect since it is a plant monster to summon Gigaplant. End Turn

Second turn: Second summon Gigaplant and either special summon a plant or insect monster from your hand, say Insect Queen, or special summon back Lonefire to go after another Gigaplant.

There are also new insects from Crimson Crisis. Bee List Soldier allows to tribute itself and another insect monster except another Bee List Soldier to draw two cards. There is also Cross-Sword Beetle which has its effect activated when you control another face up insect type monster. It gives all of your insect type monsters piercing, that is it does damage even if the opponent’s monster is in defence mode. Also the continuous spell card Verdant Sanctuary allows the owner to add one insect type monster from their deck to their hand equal to the level another insect monster controlled by the owner that is destroyed by battle.

I did a serious cleaning out of my belly button last night. I used like, 7 q-tips, VS’s Pure Seduction Soap, hand sanitizer, lotion, and baby powder. Aren’t I cool?
